According to data from the Center for Market Monitoring cited by Newseria, the legal sale of vaping products plummeted from 10.6 million units to just 650,000 year-over-year. This drastic decline spans the entire segment of disposable e-cigarettes and pod systems.
However, industry leaders warn that this drop does not reflect a decrease in actual nicotine consumption. Instead, demand has shifted rapidly to the underground economy. The Fraunhofer Institute estimates that the black market now accounts for a staggering 58% of Poland’s vaping sector.
