Italy’s Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM) has expanded its crackdown on online tobacco and e-cigarette sales by blacklisting 46 new domains. This update brings the total number of restricted websites to 853, forcing online shops, physical retailers, and manufacturers to align with national regulations.
Compliance Deadline and Product Restrictions
Affected businesses must remove unauthorized products by May 23, 2024, to avoid domain blackouts. Restricted items include ready-to-use e-liquids and disposable e-cigarettes. The regulation targets online shops, manufacturer portals, and showcase websites for brick-and-mortar retailers.
Turin Court Restricts Vaping Advertisements
A ruling by the Court of Turin restricts how vaping products are marketed. Retailers can no longer use commercial offers, flyers, or posters to promote these items. While sellers may list technical specifications and flavor profiles, they must avoid subjective descriptions designed to attract consumer attention.
