The Italian Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM) has expanded its blacklist of blocked websites to 876 for illegally selling e-cigarettes and inhalation liquids. Affected e-commerce operators must remove all non-compliant products by October 2 to restore access.
The crackdown targets online stores selling disposable vapes and pre-mixed e-liquids directly to consumers. Under Italian law, these products face strict retail and tax regulations.
Additionally, a recent ruling by the Turin Court restricts how vaping products are marketed. E-commerce platforms and physical shops can no longer run promotional offers, distribute flyers, or use subjective advertising to attract customers. Retailers may only display technical specifications and flavor profiles without subjective commentary. Non-compliance with these advertising rules will result in immediate website blacklisting and blackout measures.
